How this differs from all other support groups out there...
Traditional support groups can offer something incredibly valuable: a place to be understood by people who truly know what you’re going through.
But when I was looking for that kind of community myself, I wanted something more than the drama that often accompanies this type of focus.
I wanted a space where I could be completely honest about the fear, frustration and uncertainty of a serious health challenge — without allowing illness to become the centre of my identity or the dominant story of my life.
I wanted to leave feeling stronger than when I arrived.
So I created the community I couldn’t find.
Today, we meet online each week as a group of people navigating serious and chronic health challenges who are committed to continuing to live fully — right now.
We support each other, ask questions, share experiences and explore emerging research alongside practical wisdom from practices such as Qigong, meditation and nervous-system regulation. We examine ideas from Professor Pang (creator of Zhineng Qigong and the medicineless hospital), Dr Kelly Turner (Radical Remission), HeartMath Institute, Dr Gabor Mate, Dr Nrorman Doidge, and other researchers and scientists. We look at what we can influence, how we can work constructively alongside our healthcare teams, and how we can bring more calm, vitality and joy into everyday life.
Sometimes someone joins us from a hospital bed. Sometimes from a tropical holiday. Sometimes from the sofa on a day when simply turning up feels like an achievement.
We laugh. We occasionally cry. We share what’s working and hold space when things are hard.
Each week has the same intention:
To reset, reconnect and remember that we don't have to postpone living until some future day when our bodies are perfectly healthy again. That a diagnosis may be part of our life story, but it doesn't need to dictate the end of it! That we can cultivate connection, meaning, joy and vitality now — in the middle of whatever life is asking of us.
If this sounds like what you have been looking for, get in touch today to apply to join and know that you never have to face what you're going through alone again.Â
Who this community is for...
Our groups are intentionally small — no more than ten people — because the quality of the conversation matters.
You are welcome to bring the hard days: the fear, frustration, exhaustion and uncertainty. You do not need to pretend everything is okay.
What we do ask is that you also bring curiosity, personal responsibility and a willingness to ask, “What can I influence from here?”
This is a space to receive support, but also to give it. To be vulnerable without becoming defined by your illness. To encourage others, stay open to possibility, and help protect the warmth, trust and hopeful energy of the group.
Because these communities are intimate, I am thoughtful about who joins them. We are creating a space where people can be real about what they are facing — and still leave feeling stronger, more connected and more empowered than when they arrived.Â
For me to do this, we have a little chat first about where you are at, what you're facing, and what you are looking for from this group.
Get in touch today so you can start to benefit this week from the camaraderie, kindness, and direction that this group is here to offer!
